Ten Par Fours, 332 to 419 Yards
More than half of Brierwood's length is in its par 4s. Five of the ten bend noticeably, and five run nearly straight.
Ten of Brierwood's eighteen holes are par 4s, five on each nine. From the blue tees they run from the 332-yard eighth to the 419-yard fifteenth. Together they measure 3,922 yards, which is about 59 percent of the 6,643-yard course, and the average par 4 is about 392 yards.
The longest are the fifteenth at 419 yards, the sixteenth at 416 and the fifth at 415. The next group is the thirteenth at 404, the fourth at 397, the first at 395 and the tenth at 393. The seventh is 384, the eleventh 367, and the eighth, the shortest, 332.
The GPS positions show that five of the ten bend noticeably. The fifth turns about 100 degrees to the right, the tenth about 87 degrees to the right, the eighth about 53 degrees to the left, the sixteenth about 36 degrees to the left and the seventh about 33 degrees to the right.
The other five, the first, fourth, eleventh, thirteenth and fifteenth, bend by 8 degrees or less. They play northeast, southeast, southeast, north-northeast and west.
From the red tees the par 4s run from 255 yards to 315. The fifth is 275 yards from the red tees, which happens to match the roughly 275-yard straight line across the dogleg from the back tee.
