Every golf community has a center of gravity, and Brierwood's is the clubhouse at 27 Brierwood Road. The community's records describe it as roughly 10,000 square feet; 2025 reporting calls it a three-story building. A maintenance warehouse of about 7,000 square feet stands nearby, and the grounds included tennis courts.

For most of its life the clubhouse did what clubhouses do. It held the pro shop, locker rooms and a dining room, and it was where members gathered after a round. The Sun News noted in 2025 that at one time the building even housed an art museum.

When new owners took over in 2014, the clubhouse was high on their list. Their stated plans included a new roof, fresh paint, converting the locker rooms into conference, banquet and private dining space, and a hallway mural with rotating artwork by a local artist. A first-floor office was to serve as a temporary pro shop while the work was done.

The course closed in 2017, and the clubhouse has been largely idle since. The building's future was uncertain for years, and residents driving past it on Brierwood Road saw a landmark with no purpose.

In 2025 the building returned to the center of the story. The special use permit the Town approved in March 2025 calls for rehabilitating the clubhouse and adding a 70-seat restaurant, with the former maintenance building proposed for indoor courts in a later phase. For the first time in years, the clubhouse has a future on paper.
