The meeting concerning Brierwood and the Special Use permit has been rescheduled for March 4, 2025. As notified by the Town of Shallotte’s Planner Mr. Brandon Eaton, in-part:
“Due to some confusion, caused in part by typographical errors in the mailing for the special use permit hearing, the hearing has been rescheduled to March 4th, 2025, at 5:15pm.
A new mailing will be sent out to all adjacent property owners as is required by state statute.”
About Brierwood
Brierwood was developed in 1967 as a residential golf course community. While the golf course ceased operations in 2017, the residential community continues to be a well-desired place to live, located conveniently near numerous beaches, towns and cities. The community features large lots nestled between plentiful trees and former golf holes adding to their privacy. Despite it’s desirable non-HOA status, community residents take pride in the upkeep and maintenance of their homes.
